For as long as I can remember, we have lived up here. What do I mean? What a silly question. I mean that we have always lived up here, on the island called Skyreach. Yes, that endless ocean of clouds that always surrounds us. It is a very large island, big enough to accommodate two packs without conflict. But my father, the alpha of our pack, has been very restless as of late. I cannot help but to worry. Lately, these rumors have been spreading. They say that there is a world, much like our own, under the sea of clouds. Wolves of both packs are getting excited…
What do I mean? I wonder why you ask. Even though most of us are blessed by the Wind Spirit, there has always been a law forbidding us from exploring the ocean of clouds. No one has ever done it, but I think someone is going to. When you live in a place where nothing changes, you begin to wonder what else could be out there. You see, these rumors go on. Not only is there supposedly land beneath the clouds, but there are also wolves there. And apparently they are different then us. They are not blessed by the Spirits as we are, instead they are said to have ferocious mutations and unimaginable strength. Not only that, but I have heard that the land beneath the clouds is big enough to accommodate three packs!
But no… I can’t let myself get excited over this. They’re just rumors… And, on top of that, if anyone really does go explore the ocean of clouds and these rumors happen to be true, well… I guess we’ll just have to wait and find out.
